A Letter to My Friend Essay Example For Students

A Letter to My Friend Essay Dear Audrey, I believe that the day I met you was one of destiny. Id never believed in destiny because my life was difficult and I was lonely; I couldnt accept that as the ultimate purpose of my life. I remember that afternoon I sat alone on a bench park, recently dumped by the one Id believed was my best friend. She left me the way the previous ones have done it, by throwing me away after giving those shiny underestimating glimpse. I have had enough of that, and had lost hope on everything, until the hand of a beautiful woman, who seemed like she was reaching forty years old soon, touched me and looked at me carefully while saying, Perfect!  . No one ever said that about me, not even once. So, needlessly saying, I was absolutely touched. The smiling-face lady held me tight in her hand. I could see that she wanted to bring me somewhere. She walked me through the sidewalk, then we crossed a big junction, and after walking some more miles, we entered an alley and stopped our journey in front of a not-big-but-not-so-small house. The house from the front was very lovely, with its big garden surrounded the building that mostly white. I was excited to know more about the house, just like the lady that was more excited to show me to someone younger than her by (perhaps) twenty five years old that she addressed with Audrey, darling. This Audrey, darling came out from the front door and ran to the lady, that turned out to be her mother. Audrey, darling whose real name was Audrey, was a short curvy girl with long wavy blond hair and turquoise eyes. She smiled brightly when seeing her mother coming; especially when she knew that her mother brought me along with her. I could see happiness all over her face. But somehow, I saw something different. Something weird in those shiny eyes, something fake in her wide smile. It was cleverly covered, but it was still obvious. It was a feeling that I knew well. Loneliness. From the very first time I met Audrey, I knew that we would be best friends. We were lonely and we needed each other to share. We had something in common. She told me everything that she knew. She always came to me whenever she came back from school to tell all the things that happened to her that day. She often told me some funny jokes from television, and I thought she was a fun girl. The thing that I loved most was when Audrey said that I was her only best friend. This was my first time being very important to someone. And I, as a best friend, would always be there, the place where Audrey wanted me to, faithfully waited for her and her stories. Days went by with the inseparable friendship between Audrey and I. But then, Audrey stopped talking to me. I did not know why she did, but something that I realized was that she had done many changes. She began to wear headbands, she paid attention to her clothing, she made sure to always spray perfume all over her body, and she always looked at the mirror before going out from her room. I was quite sad that Audrey did not tell me anything about her changes. I felt so betrayed. But one day, she finally talked to me. Dear Diary, There is a new student in my class, his name is Ron. He is from London. He is a pure British with his sturdy appearance like all the British guys. He chose to sit beside me even when there were many empty chairs. I do not want to expect much, but I am glad he did it. We talked and talked about anything. The more we talk, the more I realize that he is a smart guy and I love the way he talks with his unique accent that I could not have enough for hearing his voice. He is really charming, and he has a warm heart, I guess. Do you think that I am in love? I do not know about that. But for now, I think he is a very good friend. Sorry but I cannot share much to you, because I have much things to do. .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f , .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f .postImageUrl , .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f , .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f:hover , .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f:visited , .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f:active { border:0!important; } .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f:active , .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u0ef0bcaf65a1e870bd8d505b6fa8a61f:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Stalinism and Stalin's Ideology EssayBut I promise to talk to you in a while. I was a little bit disappointed to hear that from Audrey. But I realized, there were so many things that Ron could do, but I could not. Audrey and Roy could talk about anything, while I was only listening to what Audrey saying without giving response. I was only an old useless diary for her. In this case, I had to remember about one important thing in friendship; you could not force your best friend to be what you wanted, because a best friend would feel happy for her/ his best friends happiness. And I was happy for her.

RIM encourages its customers to report any issues and concerns they may have. Through this we foster our Company’s success by not allowing potentially unethical behavior to meddle with our efficiency, innovation and progress. This enables information management for an efficient production process and happy customers. Before launching a product the company needs to conduct an environmental analysis to ensure that the product will have higher chances of survival and profitability once it comes out in to the open. This includes PEST analysis and SWOT analysis of external and internal factors related to the company. This includes the government rules and regulations regarding ethical standards, trade, copyrights, privacy and labour unions. RIM is using these to its advantages by entering into confidentiality agreements with its employees, consultants, contract manufacturers, customers, potential customers and others to attempt to limit access to and distribution of its proprietary information, to purchase patents, and RIM may also license its technology and intellectual property to third parties through various licensing agreements. All these enable a prosperous environment for RIM’s growth. However, RIM also needs to ensure that its products meet standards. RIM’s BlackBerry wireless devices meet FCC, Industry Canada, and EC requirements. In addition, RIM devices have received regulatory approvals required by other countries where such products are made commercially available by RIM. In parts of Europe and North America, the Company is currently obligated to comply with substance restrictions, packaging regulations, energy efficiency ratings and certain product take back and recycling requirements. Thus, by carefully examining the political environment, a company can ensure its viability. The GPD per capita values for all these regions are greater than 30,000US$ (a high value) with US having the highest, followed by Canada and so on. Such a high GDP per capita shows that there is more demand for consumer goods and thus higher purchasing power parity. They allow us to open an expensive business like ours. Since the purchasing power is rising, people will be more willing to buy high-end luxurious products. Thus the economic environment welcomes the birth of new innovative products and concepts. Sociocultural Environment: Our goal is to focus on customers that come from higher social statuses and income levels above average. With the increasing amounts of women working the average workforce has increased which means more people would need a Blackberry Empathy. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs includes the need of self-belonging- we all want to belong to a group and have someone who always loves us. Two of the cultural values Schwartz observed in numerous cultures were universalism and benevolence. Thus, the new Empathy would be perfect to help foster such a culture. Also, since RIM is targeting enterprise users globally it recognizes and respects diversity in its efforts. Technological Environment: Owing to the ever-expanding fast paced development in technology with the help of Research and Development, a firm needs to stay on track with these technological changes. Similarly, RIM intends to take advantage of specific government and academic financial assistance programs to support its research activities where available. The Company has previously entered into two project development agreements with Technology Partnerships Canada which provided partial funding for certain research and development projects. Also, since the new technological trend is to communicate through Social Networking Sites, RIM endeavours to increase its brand reputation and company name through word of mouth, responsibly.

Our Influence on Global Climates essays

Our Influence on Global Climates essays The world's scientific experts agree that industrial and land use activities are having an adverse impact on our climate. Burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and gasoline creates global warming pollution that acts as the glass in a greenhouse, reflecting heat back toward the Earth and warming our climate. If we do not take steps now to reduce our emissions of global warming pollution, we will suffer serious environmental, public health, and economic repercussions. We owe it to our next generations to leave them a healthy environment and economy. Industries must start reducing their emissions of global warming pollution before we seal the fate of future generations. The earth's climate is predicted to change because human activities are altering the chemical composition of the atmosphere through the buildup of greenhouse gases (primarily carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide). Its functions are similarly to the walls and roof of a greenhouse, allowing sunlight to enter, but preventing heat from escaping. Sunlight passes through the atmosphere and heats the earths surface. The earth gives off heat energy, in the form of infrared radiation, which travels back toward the atmosphere. Instead of going into space, some of the infrared radiation is trapped by greenhouse gases (Schneider, 1989). The main greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide, methane, water vapor, and ozone. The gases send infrared radiation back to the earth's surface. Some greenhouse gases occur naturally in the atmosphere, while others result from human activities. Naturally occurring greenhouse gases include water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone. Certain human activities, however, add to the levels of most of these naturally occurring gases: 1) Carbon dioxide is released to the atmosphere when solid waste, fossil fuels (oil, natural gas, and coal), and wood and wood products are burned. 2) Methane is emitted during the producti...

Marketing Communication - Essay Example Since the JJB leisure clubs are being launched, therefore, to educate the public comparatively detailed print and television advertising would have to be carried out. The purpose of the advertising would be to inform and persuade prospective clients to invest in the services of JJB. TV commercials: a five minute commercial highlighting all the services and concluding on â€Å" JJB will soon be serving members in Ireland†. To economize, in the initial stages, only one international ad will be made that would be run in Ireland as well as UK. TV Documentary: This detailed 15 minute documentary would include everything from the history and formation of JJB to what it is currently and what future plans they have. This documentary proposed to be aired in Ireland before the launch of the outlet in Derry. Likewise, this documentary to be aired on significant channels in the UK before the launch of any more clubs in UK. Print Advertising: One print ad showing multiple views of the various club services, containing the unique selling proposition, the positioning statement and the logo to be developed and released before the launches or before any new services are announced. Direct Mail: Brochures to be designed carrying in depth detail on the various services being offered by the club and sent in direct mail to the respective clients. In view of the expansion pressures, the JJB’s health and fitness clubs have identified Ireland (Derry) as a potential market for opening outlets. JJB might be a highly recognized sports retail brand in UK but in Ireland, it would have to create its brand awareness. This would serve dual purposes of getting publicity in UK as well as Ireland since it is one of the most high profile events. JJB will reinforce its sports orientation as well as create awareness for
